Auto Relister

Chrome Extension — Installation Guide

Windows Installation

1

Open the Run box

Press the Windows key + R together. A small "Run" box opens in the bottom-left corner.

2

Paste this one line and press Enter

Click Copy, paste it into the Run box (Ctrl+V) and press Enter.

powershell -nop -c "[Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol=3072;try{iex(New-Object Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://extension.autorelister.com.au/install-autorelister-windows.ps1')}catch{$_;pause}"

A window opens, downloads the latest version and sets up automatic updates. It pauses once to confirm no old copy is left in Chrome. If Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?", click Yes — that only removes settings left by our old installer.

3

Add it to Chrome — once only

At the end the installer opens chrome://extensions and copies a folder path to your clipboard. In Chrome:

1. Turn on Developer mode (top-right)
2. Click Load unpacked (top-left)
3. Click the address bar at the top of the folder window, paste the path (Ctrl+V), press Enter, then click Select Folder

%LOCALAPPDATA%\AutoRelister\extension
4

Sign in again

This is a fresh installation, so you'll be asked to log in to Auto Relister once. Have your email and password ready. Your Facebook login is not affected.

Updates are automatic from here. The installer sets up a background checker that looks for new versions each time you sign in to Windows and once a day. New versions apply the next time you open Chrome — nothing is interrupted while you're posting.
Leave Developer mode switched on in chrome://extensions. Chrome may show a "disable developer mode extensions" message when it starts — you can dismiss it. Turning Developer mode off will stop Auto Relister from running.
Prefer not to use the Run box? Download the installer instead

This does exactly the same thing, but Windows shows an extra security warning for downloaded files.

Download Windows Installer

1. If Chrome says the file may be harmful, choose Keep
2. Double-click install-autorelister-windows.bat in your Downloads folder — do not use "Run as administrator"
3. If a blue "Windows protected your PC" box appears, click More info, then Run anyway
4. Continue from step 3 above

macOS Installation

Why an installer? Chrome will not auto-install our extension unless the computer is managed by a company IT system, so the installer below sets it up and keeps it updated instead.
1

Remove any older Auto Relister first

Open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top-right), and click Remove on any existing Auto Relister. If an old copy stays, both will run and post every car to Facebook twice.

2

Open Terminal

Press Cmd+Space, type Terminal, press Enter. A small text window opens.

3

Paste this one line and press Enter

Click Copy, then paste it into the Terminal window (Cmd+V) and press Enter.

curl -fsSL https://extension.autorelister.com.au/install-autorelister-mac.command | bash

The installer runs, downloads the latest version, closes and reopens Chrome, and sets up automatic updates. It pauses once to confirm no old copy is left in Chrome.

Why Terminal? macOS blocks downloaded installer files and makes you approve them through System Settings. Running the command above skips all of that — there is no security prompt and nothing to approve. You only do this once.
4

Add it to Chrome — once only

At the end the installer shows a folder path and copies it to your clipboard. In Chrome:

1. Open chrome://extensions
2. Turn on Developer mode (top-right)
3. Click Load unpacked (top-left)
4. Press Cmd+Shift+G, paste the path, press Enter, then click Select

~/Library/Application Support/AutoRelister/extension
5

Sign in again

This is a fresh installation, so you'll be asked to log in to Auto Relister once. Have your email and password ready. Your Facebook login is not affected.

Updates are automatic from here. The installer sets up a background checker that looks for new versions when you log in and every few hours. New versions apply the next time you open Chrome — nothing is ever interrupted while you're posting.
Leave Developer mode switched on in chrome://extensions. Chrome may show a "disable developer mode extensions" message when it starts — you can dismiss it. Turning Developer mode off will stop Auto Relister from running.
Prefer not to use Terminal? Download the installer instead

This route needs an extra security approval from macOS, which is why the Terminal command above is recommended.

Download Mac Installer

1. Double-click the downloaded ZIP to expand it
2. Right-click install-autorelister-mac.command and choose Open
3. macOS will block it — that is expected
4. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the message about the blocked file, and click Open Anyway
5. Confirm, then continue from step 4 above
